Q: When does one end and another begin?

I am trying to be diligent with maintaining a migraine diary/log.  How are others determining when one migraine ends and another begins?  I hadn't really thought about it much, because they all just seem to run together.  At other times I have felt one end because it would seem my head would clear, and I could honestly say it was over.  Then I have bouts where everything just seems to run together and while I may be "pain free" for 24-48 hours, it does not seem the migraine is gone.

Hi Chris,

Generally speaking, a Migraine attack is considered over when you have four pain-free hours between attacks. Remember, these are general terms - and since you are keeping a Migraine diary this is a great tool to use for a conversation with your doctor, who is the only one who can really answer this question for you.

Did that help at all??

Nancy
