Q: Is there anyone who has had success (mean low side effects) while while coming off Pristiq? (I keep reading horror stories and just need reassurance.)

I've been on Pristiq for over 6 weeks now, and my stomach can't tolerate it. Also, I'm not sleeping until the morning hours (which could be fibromyalgia or the med actually.)

Hi, Susie,

I've no experience with Pristiq, but I did take Paxil for a number of years, then had to change. It was difficult, to say the least.

What time of day are you taking Pristiq? Insomnia is a common potential side effect of many antidepressants, one that I've had problems with too. My doctor has me take my antidepressant in the morning so it has less impact on my sleep.

If you need to change medications, hopefully, you'll have less trouble than you might otherwise have since you've been taking it a relatively short period of time.

Keep me posted?

Teri
