Hi cherryessence,

This is really a tough question because people's responses to medications vary greatly. What works well for some people may not work at all for others. Unfortunately, finding an effective regimen is often a matter of trial and error, and can be time consuming because when we start a new medication it can take up to three months before we see a reduction in our Migraine frequency and severity.

If you'd like ideas of the medications used for prevention, you can find a list in this article, Migraine preventive medications - too many options to give up!

 Good luck

Nancy

Hi Nancy,

Many thanks for your reply & the link!! i have tried afew of the meds in the list and as with most others i have also been on at some point have had no effect, i agree with you what works for one will not work for another(sadly the doctors still treat us with a ...one size fits all  attitude!!.

Once again thanks for takeing the time to mail me  i hope you are well and pain free?

         take care   cherry
