My 19 year old son has intractable cluster headaches(7 months now) he is taking 8 different meds to try to prevent them, he was in the hospital on intraveinous for 3 days. he had no headaches for those three days only. Nothing seems to be working the Dr. is talking about some kind of operation. Has anyone heard of this proceedure or has anyone had this done Did it work ???????

I am not aware of any operation that would help cluster headaches, and, if this doctor states this operation will "cure" them - I would suggest finding a new doctor. It is imperative to have the correct diagnosis and a Migraine specialsit is the expert who is able to do that.
