Q: I just had a MRI done after 5 years and I know have a 1.2cm cyst on my pineal gland.

I have suffered from headaches/migraines for almost 15 years not to mention sleeping issues.

I am supposed to be seeing a specialist at St. Louis University soon. Does anyone have any information for me about this? How bad is it or what's going to happen.

Hi Kelly,

I'm sorry you have been suffering so, but do need to tell you that Migraine is a genetic neurological disease thought to be caused by overactive neurons in our brains and genetics.

Do you already have the results of your MRI? Some people have pineal cysts for their entire lives and don't even know it. Write down your questions for the specialists, be prepared  for your visit and try to stay calm. Smile

Good luc

Nancy
