Hi! Just wanted to say thanks for posting this. It's been over a year and I kind went through a phase were I gave up hope since I was told I had mirgraines and nothing seem to work and I was sketchy about meds. But the pains got worse so I decided to go back and see the migraine specialist. After a few months and me to really start pin pointing what I was experience and some pass medical history, the drs were able to let me know I was suffering from occipital neuralgia, and the nerve block is amazing especially since I have had the past 30 days in pain. Buti do get light and sound sensivity nausa, and I have auroras too sometimes. But I don't know if I may suffer from both. I still have some other testing to be done, but glad to know that I am finding progress and the root cause of the pain. An of you have any tips about at home care please let me know. I read somewhere to apply heat but I was told long ago by another dr when I had neck injury not to to apply ice cause I was adding more heat to something that was inflammed. And do you know if physical therapy helps. I tried massages I foun them relaxing but never liked it around my neck and just didn't understand why. Thanks
