Q: Migraine and Hyperventilation

Hello,

Does anyone know of any good information regarding migraine and hyperventilation as a symptom during the attack?  I have personally had this experience many times, and it seems related to the fact that I am upset about having the horrible migraine, which leads to anxiety and in turn hyperventilation.  I have found a couple good sources, but I am looking for more for an article I am writing about the link between the two.

Any information or leads would be greatly appreciated.  I think there are more people out there experiencing hyperventilation with migraine, and in my reading also hyperventilation causing migraine.  I want to have all the info I can find.  Thanks so much.  And have a lovely Tuesday!

Hyperventilation during a Migraine attack is most likely a panic or anxiety issue. The fluctuation of neurotransmitters such as serotonin and norepinephrine that occur during a Migraine attack can cause symptoms of depression, anxiety, panic, etc. during a Migraine attack.
