Q: What information is there on and what do you know about Sandomigran and adolescents?

My 14 yo bother recently started on Sandomigran he is just weird, a different boy, puffy face, like a zombie, hardly talking I am very concerned about what this medication is doing ti him, are there any trials or information on Sandomigran and adolescents, is there a chance this med is ruining him as he is still growing? It is really sad to see someone you love acting like a zombie.

Well, it isn't available any longer in the US for starters. How long has he been on it? At the headache conference Teri and I just attended, Sandomigran wasn't mentioned too much for either adults or adolescents.  

 

If you are uncomfortable with this medication, and it certainly sounds like your son is, I would call his doctor right away and discuss these issues with him. There are other options for him. If his doctors doesn't get on board, time for a new doctor.
