Q: Why do I have joint pain after taking Relpax?

I stopped taking imitrex due to the same problem.  After taking Relpax I usually sleep but awaken with very stiff joints.

Hi Ella!

I'm not 100% sure of the exact reason, but I go through some weird pain side effects with Frova as well. But, out of all the triptans, that one is the one with the least side effects for me, and I can take it at work without it knocking me out.

Have you tried any other triptans, or just Imitrex and Relpax? If not, why not ask your doctor to try some of the others? (Frova, Zomig, Axert, Amerge...) And see if they maybe give you less bothersome side effects.

Good luck!
