Zoe's grandmother,   I'm not a doctor, but I am a mother with 2 children who have migraines.  If you are giving her ibuprofen or motrin for headache relief, each of those can cause a rebound headache which is usually worse and longer than the original one.  Our own doctor recommended taking them to the emergency room for treatment until they could see a neurologist.  The ER doctors did what they could to help relieve the pain, set up an appointment with a neurologist that was earlier than the appointment my doctor made and in one instance admitted my child to run tests.     I hope this helps.  I understand the anguish you are going through.  You are not alone.  God Bless!  Nettie K.
