Waking with a headache or a Migraine is often a sign of a problem with your sleep -- too much sleep, too little sleep, disrupted sleep, or poor quality sleep. All of those can be a problem. It's best for people with Migraines or headaches to go to bed and get up at the same time every day, even weekends, holidays, and vacations.
Do you feel rested and refreshed when you get up in the morning?
I suggest you keep a log of your sleep with times and comments about waking, how well you slept, how you felt when you awoke, etc. Then take it to your doctor and see what the two of you can make of it.
Migraine specialists often ask many questions about sleep during appointments because it's so important.
Please let me know how things go?
Teri

I also have Fibromyalgia, which I am sure explains my issue with sleeping problems. I do go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, but my sleeping problems are the issue here, I think.
