Dear Sligh,   I recently weaned off Topomax and it was a rough ride, but finally I am free of it.  It took about three weeks and my doctor gave me a specific schedule to follow---as you know it is so strong and though individual people have different reactions and withdrawl, you can expect some changes as you wean off.  I experienced some headaches, some disorientation and have gained back all the many pounds I lost taking it for about two years.  Unlike some, I never really benefitted from Topomax.  In fact, the side effects were really taking over my life in a bad way, and I kept hoping to feel better, but just had to stop.  I now just take the Relpax and Zoloft and do the best I can to avoid the things I can control and get enough sleep, excersize and relaxation to help this chronic condition, which for me is weekly(I am 43 and have had migraine since puberty).  Good luck and much support to you getting off Topomax.  I think it can work for some, but scary for others!
