Q: I can not take narcotic prescription drugs and I am on Topomax.

 I was wondering if topamax was a narcotic, cause if it is I need to stop taking it

Hi daddysgirl,

 

No, Topamax is not a narcotic, but in a class of medications called anticonvulsants. These medications are used to treat epilepsy and Migraine, among other conditions. We have plenty of information on this medication you may want to look into, continue reading our Topamax profile.
