Sophie,

As far as I know, Migraines can't cause aneurysms or make us more liely to develop one.

It can be difficult to get others to understand that Migraines aren't "just headaches." You can find some materials to help others understand in Migraine and Headache Education for Those Who "Don't Get It".

Your doctor needs to be a bit more cooperative and proactive with you. If your doctor isn't able to help you, it may well be time to consult a Migraine and headache specialist. It's important to note that neurologists aren't necessarily Migraine and headache specialists. Take a look at the article Migraine and Headache Specialists - What's So Special? If you need help finding a Migraine specialist, check our listing of Patient Recommended Migraine and Headache Specialists.

Good luck,

Teri
