I am a migraine sufferer and have recently been put on topomax. I've been having visual hallucinations and awake like dream hallucinations. I am scheduled for a brain scan with contrast. Has anyone had this problem on topomax?

Hi kattly,
I haven't had this issue with Topamax, and I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble right now. How long have you been taking it? Are you taking the generic form of Topamax or the brand? Topamax or Topiramate for Migraine - There is a Difference may be an article that you want to read.
For some people Topamax works great but other times people may experience some unwanted potential side effects with it. It can however, take up to three months before we see a reduction in our Migraine frequency and severity when we start a new medication - and any potential side effects may lessen.
