Q: Which of the triptans is more effective in aborting migraine?

On the other hand which of the preventive medications is more effective?

 

In fact I tried zomig with limited success.Antidepressants,as preventive medication,also did not help much.

Hassan,

 

There are books, books, and more books written on this very topic. Each triptan is effective for each person differently, so it is difficult to say which "one" is better or more effective. For those people who triptans work well for, the are very effective. It is a trial and error method for most of us. Consulting with a doctor or pharmacists is always best.

As far as preventive medications go there are now over 100 medications and supplements that can be used for Migraine and headache prevention.
