Q: Can migrane headaches be the reaction to a physical occurance?

Aged 11 I went on a centrifuge type fun fair ride. Immediately after I had a migrane for several days. Ever since (now aged 43), I have found any spinning or fast rotation will bring on the same migrane. Is this medical or a psychological association? Apologies if this is not an appropriate question. Chris

Chris,

Migraine is a genetic nurological disease. Triggers that precipitate a Migraine attack are physiological, NOT psychological.

It's not unusual for spinning or fast rotation to be a Migraine trigger.

Welcome again,

Teri

Hi Teri

Thanks for the welcome and prompt reply. I guess I should be grateful that my trigger is relatively manageable. Thanks again for clarifying my query.
