I have Occipital neuralgia headache,Cervalgia, extream migraine daily.I need relief.

12-4-2003 I was involved in an automobile accident.  Cervial MRI results: 1. Status post anterior  cervical disectomy and metal plate fusion crossing the C4/5 disc space. 2. Cental soft disc protursios at C2/3, C3/4 and C5/6 compatible with small herniations.  These do not appear to compromise the canal nor the foramina. 3. Strightening of the spine which may be post sergical or represent muscle spasm.

Diagnosis:  Occipital neuralgia headache, Cervalgia, with extream headaches variant of migraine (resistant to medication) daily.

Also have Fibromyalgia and RSD

What I want to know is, do you have any suggetions for relief.

I have tried over the counter medications, narcodics, muscle relaxants, anti depressants, topamax, imitrex, trigger point injections last only a few hours...

Please help me if you can.

Dear Dorothy,

I'm sorry, but you're asking for the kind of advice that should be given only in person by a doctor who can review your records, discuss your symptoms, and examine you. Your best bet is to see a Migraine specialist. If you need help finding one, please see our listing of Patient Recommended Specialists.

Good luck,

Teri
