I have had neck/shoulder/back pain that always precedes and lasts throughout the migraine since 1985 following a car accident (the car I was riding in was stopped for traffic and we were rear ended at a high rate of speed.) TMJ was part of my problem and surgery helped bring the migraines to a manageable level but a car made a left hand turn into our car in 2007 and 2 days later I was in bed with another debilitating migraine. ANY triptan I take (Axert, Imitrex, Amerge, Relpax, etc.) will get rid of the neck/shoulder/back pain if it gets rid of the migraine.
