I have chronic paroxysmal hemicrania . For 8 Years I have been taking Indomethacin 75mg x3 as needed. My question, is there anything else I can do? I have GERD, ulcers in my esophagus and colon. My liver and kidneys are fine. My doc's have talked about chemical menopause. When I was pregnant with both my children, 6 weeks into my preganancy to 6 weeks out I had not one episode. Please tell me there is somthing else out there. I am  the only one I know with this. There isn't a lot about CPH anywhere. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you. Kristen

Hmmmmmm. I've really not heard of hormone fluctuations triggering CPH. That's generally more a Migraine issue. In that case, hormone therapy it a toss-up. It helps some, makes things worse for others, makes not difference at all to some.

There are some alternatives to indomethacin. You can find that information and other information in Paroxysmal Hemicrania - The Basics.

Good luck,

Teri
