Q: can you tell me if amitripyline are a good med. for chronic migraine

Hi k.k.

 

If you mean is amitriptyline a medication used to treat Migraine disease, the answer is yes, it is used off label. Whether it is good  or not depends if it works for the person who is taking it.

Chronic Migrainer is Migraine or tension-type headache more than 15 days a month. The FDA has approved Botox for chronic Migraine. If you think this applies to you, feel free to take this information to your doctor.
