SUSIE1975,
I hope by now you have talked to a doctor about your daughter's condition. A single Migraine that lasts 72 hours or longer with less than a solid four-hour pain-free period, while awake, is termed status Migrainous. You should see your doctor or go to the emergency room if a Migraine lasts that long. See Status Migrainous - The Basics for more information.
If your doctor isn't able to help you, it may well be time to consult a Migraine and headache specialist. It's important to note that neurologists aren't necessarily Migraine and headache specialists. Take a look at the article Migraine and Headache Specialists - What's So Special? If you need help finding a Migraine specialist, check our listing of Patient Recommended Migraine and Headache Specialists.

Please let us know how your daughter is doing, ok?

Nancy, thank you for the information. we finally got her some help. her regular doctor was misdiagnosing her. It turns out that she wasn't having migraines at all. she has pseudo tumar ceribri. she has too much fluid on her spine.either she was producing too much or her body isn't using enough of what she produces and this was putting pressure on her brain. An MRV was done which checks the blood vessels on your brain and a blood clot was found on one od her main blood vessels. She is doing fine now that she is on blood thinners we have been in the hospital since Thursday, Dec. 10th, 2009. She is taking medication twice a day for the spinal fluid pressure. It took an entomologist to finally figure out that it was something more than a migraine just as I had suspected. We made it to the University Medical Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi just in time. Which is a two hour drive from where we live in Cleveland, Mississippi. She is doing a whole lot better than she was. She has even regained some of her vision in her right eye. So thank you very much . Susie
