Q: I'm finding that my friends with migraines also don't sweat very much - any link there?

I read that people who become paralysed after a spinal injury get migraines.  Other symptoms they experience is a low sweat or lack of sweating.  I know of three people - one is my daughter and another is my sister and another is a friend who suffer from migraines.  They also are quite athletic but don't sweat very much at all.  I'm starting to ask more people who have migraines.  Could there be a connection?  Is there some problem with their spinal nerves that cause low sweat and migraines.

I don't know of any connection between Migraines and decreased sweating. However, some medications can cause this. Are any of the people you're talking about taking Topamax, by any chance? If they are, and their sweating has decreased, please let them know that they need to mention this to their doctors.

Welcome again,

Teri
