ChinChunPie,
Hello and welcome to HealthCentral.
I haven't had any personal experince with this, so I can't offer you any feedback.
I have had an occipital nerve block. I have chronic pain issues due to a removal of a brain tumor. The nerve block works for me in about 50% of the time. I still have pain afterwards but am giving enough pain meds to make me sleep it off. It takes about a week to get the full effect. This procedure I have about 2 times a year. I was told that is a very precisive procedure and if the Dr. is not accurate in technique it will not work. That is why I say it is 50% effective. I have gotten relief and for my opionion it is well worth it.
