Q: My doctor suggests I take 400mg of Vitamin B2 for migraines. It seems that it is a lot.

My doctor suggest I take 400mg of Vitamin B2 for migraines that give me a herringbone

effect that is hard to look through. There is no pain and I dont feel nauseous. It lasts

for 10 to 15 minutes. I get this 4 or 5 times a year. MRI is negative.

Is 400mg of B2 too much? Are there side effects and does it help?

Any one with similar expierences, please help.

maury,

Vitamin B2 does help some people prevent Migraines, and 400mg is the standard recommended dosage for this purpose. The only side effect that I've heard of is that it tends to turn your urine bright yellow. You can check with your doctor or pharmacist to see if they know of other potential side effects.

Good luck,

Teri
