I myself am 50 yrs old and got an occaisional migrain over the years 6 over 30 yrs. Then premenopause began! And it began, I had the merena inserted as they thought theyd fool my body to think IU wasn't getting my menstual cycle to divert the migrain, they were toooo smart they knew just what days each month to come and as of late, this past aungust they came right on schedule, august 4th and have NOT LEFT!!!! I wake uo at night throbbing I take ambien to sleep, i just d/c ed that as I hear they cause migraines I was on vesicare I d/c d that as I heard that may be a culprit I hear the migrain med maltex may be the culprt=it but cant funtion for certain occaisions without it or WITH it do to drowsiness it provokes and driving OMG I:M a threat to otheres and myself. So I called my dr and asked for the ambien to b exchanged for seraquil not knowing anythiung except it works to help me sleep, i also take foir bi-polar topamax which is a migrain preventer, sure! so the pnin clinic today did what they always do every 3 months shoot the base of my skull with cortisone and intiinflammitory for opening up the vessels for blood flow, unsure if it works as i go faithfully every 3 months (all ur allowed) and they could b worse but i dont know this I just take the chance and the shots hurt like hell he gives me pain medication for a few days for the head swelling so its ok. So altho i did not answer ur question I shared whats going on with me ur not alone i dont know if one day theyll stop as I pray i hate living around them they ruin my childrens lives and will end up with p.t.s.d from this....I worry these ruin my days weeks months my LIFE i hate these things and I get sick i vomit I live with my mom who at 75 takes care of me then lol not funny but gotta find some humur, my name is shelly
