Q: side effects of Phenobarbital and Depekote mixed ?

The combination of Phenobarbital and Depakote is pretty complex. Here are a few issues I found with this combination:
• It is important to monitor the levels of both medications.
• Caution is advised as this combination may decrease Depakote levels and efficacy.
• This combination can also increase barbiturate (Phenobartibal) levels.
• There is a risk of toxicity.
• The combination may increase the risk of central nervous system depression and psychomotor impairment.
