Q: amerge & imitrex

can you take imitrex 4 hours after taking amerge?

Not unless your doctor specifically tells you to for some reasons. Since each of the triptans binds to different combinatons of serotonin syndromes, it can be dangerous to take different triptans without waiting for at least 24 hours. It can be harmful to have too many serotonin receptors occupied at the same time.

 

Please do not do this.
