Q: Is it ok to take generic topamax and bystolic at same time?

is it ok to take generic for topamax 25 mg and bystolic 5mg at the same time

dr. says i should ween of of the topamax and then go back on in a month bc body has gotten use to it. my normal dose of the topamax is 50 so i am to cut that in half and take 25 mg for 3 or 4 days and then be done with that totally. the day i start the 25 mg i am to start bystolic 5 mg. and take that for the mont i am of the topamx. has anyone done this. should i expect a month of awful migraines. what can anyone tell me about bystolic had never heard of it till today. any side affects. one last thing i can take the bystolic and the topamax (generic) at the same time right? thanks for the help

Jenn,

I can't find any significant known interactions between these two medications, BUT you need to ask your doctor this question. There are factors to be considered in addition to possible interactions between these two medications -- any health issues/conditions you may have, and ALL other medications you are taking including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, dietary supplements, etc.
