Talk to your doctor(s), for years I thought I had your run of the mill PMS and suffered.    Last year I was diagnosed with menstrual migraines and was put on beta blockers (inderal) and axert for the pain, that worked for awhile.  Now in addition to that I'm on topamax, so far my attacks have been reduced to almost half, keeping my fingers crossed.  If you get numbness in your hands you may not want topamax one of the side effect I'm experiencing is the pins and needles (sometimes painful) in my feet and occassionally in my hands.  Good luck!
