Hi RVR,
Please accept my apology for not getting back to you sooner. I'm confused about what your triggers are. Any Migraine specialist can treat someone with Migraine disease. In the article, Ocular, Optical, and Ophthalmic Migraines, you'll note that the Migraines discussed are Migraine with aura, Migraine without aura and Retinal Migraine.
If your doctor isn't able to help you, and you are getting more than three Migraine attacks a month, it may time to consult a Migraine and headache specialist. It's important to note that neurologists aren't necessarily Migraine and headache specialists. Take a look at the article Migraine and Headache Specialists - What's So Special? If you need help finding a Migraine specialist, check our listing of Patient Recommended Migraine and Headache Specialists.
I hope this helps,
Nancy

I hope you've had a chance to read the article Nancy posted for you about Ocular, Optical and Ophthalmic Migraines. If these are the diagnoses you've been given by the neurologists you've seen, I think that strengthens our point that neurologists aren't necessarily Migraine specialists.
There are several good specialist in the Chicago area listed on our directory of Patient Recommended Migraine and Headache Specialists.
Please keep us posed on how you're doing?
Welcome again,
Teri
