Q: Physical Therapy on my knee electrodes are used . Migraines started again

My migraines have returned with a vengence after being controlled with Topamax for 2 yrs.

I am having Physical Thearpy on my knee with electroids....could this be the cause?  I just can't go through this again. Topamax was a miricle for me...I was mostly pain migraine free for the first time in 25 yrs. HELP PLEASE

Hi,

 

It doesn't make much sense that the PT to your knee would direcly trigger Migraines, but anything is possible. Also, it's important to remember that any time our body is under stress, we're more susceptible to our triggers.

 

This is something you'd do well to mention to your doctor too.

      I thought the electrical pulses applied to knee  could be triggering my
