Good evening, I hope you are all well. :)
I was diagnosed with cluster headaches some years ago, or rather I was 'diagnosed' with cluster headaches and M.E and fibro type symptoms by a specialist in chronic fatigue syndrome and she admitted it was her best guess. Fair enough, sometimes I get really fatigued for no reason and have to pace myself. It made sense.
But for the last five days (I've been feeling less well for the past 14 months and the last 4 of which have been getting progressively worse but that's with stomach pains of which my GP thinks is IBS or atleast something similar, but that's neither here nor there!) I've been having a headache, but it's weak and feels more like pressure than the usually throb I expect from a migraine headache but is still really knocking me about. My legs feel really weak and have for days but have gotten worse this evening. I was laying in bed not 40 minutes ago and they felt utterly heavy and useless and I'll admit to it freaking me out a little bit as when I was younger I had unexplained paralysis in my feet.
None the less other 'headachey' symptoms have been nausea, but no vomiting, feeling better laying down, I'm unsure if darkness has helped as if the pain has been bad enough to seek darkness I've not been concentrating enough to notice. Dizziness has been most prevalent and a numbness in my left cheek which isn't causing any features to lose the ability to move, I can still smile and raise and lower my eyebrows. This afternoon I lost some of the eyesight in my left eye, a large dark spot if you will and other than that have been having a lot of muscle cramps in my legs and arms. And for the first time ever GET that 'laying down with a headache feels like vertigo' thing. Not that it's a pleasant thing to understand, but none the less everytime I get comfy and relax I feel dissorientated and feel as if I'm dropping off of something.
These are all the symptoms I've had in the past three months, in no particular order. I apologise, I never thought to put them in severity order! And some are definitely stomach related and indeed worsened by certain foods or stress.
Heartbeat in stomach, fast but not irregular (generally happens when stomach is bad in some way)
Heartburn
Bloating
Barking cough
Stomach spasms
Stomach Cramps
Nausea
Constipation
Diahrrea (with and without laxatives)
<--- Stomach related only?
Fatigue
Sleeping for 12-13 hours and still feeling unimaginably tired
Sleeping for 6-8 hours and still feeling unimaginably tired
Waking up feeling stiff
Dizziness
Low level lingering headache, all over scalp
Shakiness
Migraine
Blocked nose (left, although occasionally right)
Numb cheek (left)
Numb chin (left side)
Sore left shoulder
Sharp jaw pain (left)
Jaw ache (left)
Sharp pain in collar bone, under left breast
(Random sharp pains, right thigh, left calf, right jaw, left lower abdomen)
Muscle ache all over
Pins in needles back of hands (BOTH)
Tender skin on right knee, calf (deep inside a pain like the ache you get AFTER cramp)
Sore / Tight throat (Hayfever, more than likely!)
Really... any ideas would be EXCELLENT. I've yet to get an appointment with my GP due to a waiting list and am aware after this long I am getting a little paranoid about it. There's only so long one can be in pain before you start thinking the worse, I guess!
I'd just like to know, really, if you think it is JUST a migraine or if it could be something else.
Thank you ever so much!

Hehe, thank you! I did actually manage to get in via a cancellation today and was lucky enough to snag the caring GP too, phew!
I've been put on a new anti epileptic to try and halt the onset of migraine which I'll be starting tomorrow with open arms and Paramax (which is paracetamol and an anti nausea medicine I can't remember the name of) to attempt to combay the onset symptoms of the migraine.
The Dr has also taken the rest of my symptoms to think on so in two weeks time at my next appointment we can try and work through them.
She said understandable alot of things COULD just be anxiety due to it going on so long but it could also be other things, which I knew but after lots of sleepless painful nights rationalising things isn't a strong point!
But I feel a bit better knowing that yes, it is kind've normal to go and get a numb cheek as aura and yes, it is actually quite normal to get aura without the migraine and the migraine without the aura.
Even if I'm still feeling pretty ropey it's nice to know sometimes Dr's do listen!
Thank you for your reply Nancy, I hope you have a lovely weekend!
