Q: How long does it take for a preventative to make a difference?

I've just started Inderal ER last week and things have changed immediately. I have barely had any migraine pain the last 5 days, I have not had to take a rescue or abortive med for the first time in months! But this seems to be too good to be true. Neuro says the Inderal must be working, just seems so fast.

Kate,

It depends on the medication and the person. It's possible that you're seeing some effects from the Inderal. It's also possible that you won't see the full effects for up to three months.
