Topics:running induced migraines

I get migraines about 1 - 2 hours after a morning run.  The pain starts from between my shoulder blades and goes to my eyes.  It doesn't stop until the next morning.  I don't get them if I run at night but I can't always run at night.  NSAIDS don't stop them and I stay fairly well hydrated.  I take Amitriptyline at night to prevent other migraines with good relief.

It could be an excercise induced Migraine. Talk to you doctor, they may be able to prescribe something for it. Maybe it's the combination of heat during the day and excercise??

Are you sure it's Migraine and not a Tension-Type Headache

Good Luck
