Q: Is there a medicine or therapy that can help me deal with food-related migrane headaches?

I am male, and I only weight 130 lbs and my height is 6'0.  Most foods give me headaches.  I cannot eat white flour, starches, starchy vegetables, anything with yeast or baking soda, or any fruit.  I live on whole wheat tortillas, chicken and beef, almond butter and green vegetables.  Now, I cannot tolerate allergy pills or nasal sprays.  My migranes now last up to 3 days--- Maxalt-MLT helps for a few hours.

Hi Tim

I would suggest seeing a Migraine specialist to get an accurate diagnosis first. Then you can begin to work together to find a regime that helps reduce your Migraine freuency.

We have a list of specialists you can find HERE.

Good luck

Nancy
