I wish there was a single, solid answer to this, but there just isn't. It varies a great deal from one woman to the next. My mother never had another Migraine after menopause. Some women have told me theirs are worse, some say they're less frequent and severe. There has been no change at all in mine.

Unfortunately, each of us has to wait and see how things go for us.

Remember too that even though yours are worse now, they could level out or decrease. Our patterns can continue changing.

Good luck,

Teri

Mine have. It seems as tough lately they are getting more sever form a pain level and nausea. I did not used to get nausea all that often, but that has now changed.

My migraines got much worse since menopause. I understand that most people do not. I am 61 and I ended up retiring on disability because of the migraines. I could not focus and was having one to two migraines a week. My triggers not only got worse but I had more of them. Things that never bothered me started triggering migraines such as aerobic exercise, being on the computer for two hours or more, tight schedules just to name a few. If you aren't taking preventatives find a doctor that can help you through the process of finding medicines that work for you. I take two preventatives and although they help some they don't take the migraines all away.

Good luck.
