Q: Can ultram cause a false positive for opiates on a drug?

I took a oral drug test.  I take ultram for my tooth aches and for some reason tested positive for opiates.  Is this normal.

Yes, it is normal, but it's not a FALSE positive. Ultram is an opioid, a synthetic opiate. You shouldn't be penalized for taking a drug that was prescribed for you.
