I started with migrane headaches about 4months ago.  I start with pain in left eye than start to see twinkle lights and then go blind for about one minute.

then I get trembling and dizzy.  I also get very thirsty is this also due to migrane?

Rebecca,

Less side effects than what? Preventive medications? Abortive medications? Entire books have been written about medications for Migraines. EVERY medication has potential side effects, "potential" being the key word. The majority of patients don't experience them.

Being thirsty can be a Migraine symptoms.

Sit down and discuss both of these questions with your doctor. You and your doctor should work as a team with your doctor making decisions WITH you, not FOR you. He or she should outline your medication options, then the two of you decide together.

Good luck,

Teri
