Q: im 16 and my migraine has been going on for 4 days!

I have had migraines for about three years but this one feels different. I hurt badly behind my ears and eyes and where my neck and head come together. My head is very sensitive to people touching it. I feel nauseous but am not actually puking. Sensitivity to light doesnt happen neither does sound. I was just wondering if you could give me any answers. I have seen doctors before but every medicine they have tried does not work. I went to the ER twice last year because of severe migraine pain but don't want to have to go again.

Thanks!

Sweetie, you really need to break this Migraine and that may mean going to the ER or Urgent Care Clinic. No one likes to go to those places, but you can't continue on in pain like you have been. Do your parents know how much pain you are in? Please fill them in and let  some family or friend help you to the ER.

Status Migrainous, any Migraine pain lasting longer than 72 without a four-hour, pain-free break while awake, puts us at an increased risk for stroke, even young people.

Please feel better and let us know how you are, ok?

Nancy
