Q: I'm weaning off Zoloft (orig. dose 100mg 1x daily & I'm reducing it by 25mg every 2 wks. 2 days ago I went down to 25mg & have been having extreme nausea. Is it ok to take Zofran 4mg while weaning?

I have a few Zofran pills leftover from when I was in the hospital last year for a bee sting (allergic to bees), and I told the doctor I was taking Zoloft 100mg daily when he asked what medications I was currently taking. So I understand that he wouldn't have given me Zofran if there was a drug interaction involved... However, now that I'm weaning off the Zoloft and dealing w/ some very unpleasant physical side effects (mainly the nausea) I was wondering if it's ok for me to take Zofran considering it stops nausea by blocking serotonin...?? thx.
