Unfortunately, yes. The law provides for a limited amount of unpaid leave. When that's used, that's it for the year.

How are you and your doctor doing with finding an effective treatment regimen so you won't need to miss so much work?

If your doctor isn't able to help you, it may well be time to consult a Migraine and headache specialist. It's important to note that neurologists aren't necessarily Migraine and headache specialists. Take a look at the article Migraine and Headache Specialists - What's So Special? If you need help finding a Migraine specialist, check our listing of Patient Recommended Migraine and Headache Specialists.

I really feel for you and your situation. Is there any information I can give you to help you with your search for effective treatment?

Welcome again,

Teri

terri is right... a good migraine doctor can make all the difference. i've been seeing mine for about 6 months now, and he is playing musical meds.

problem is it can take many tries to find the combo that works for you.

good luck, i know i'm slowly getting there.
