Q: I am taking 2/25 Elavil (Minitan) mg twice a day for depression. In three weeks I gain 18 pounds and my stomach is stretched and hard like a rock. What is going on?

This is a question that can only be answered safely by a doctor who can examine you in person. Please call your doctor for an appointment, and do it immediately. This may be something quite simple, but it's not something you want to take chances with.
