Q: I took midrin while pregant in 2006. Was it safe for my unborn child?

I took midrin in 2006 while pregnant. My now four year old daughter was recently diagnoised with narcalepsy which is a chemical inbalance in the brain. Could this have been from me taking the midrin while pregnant?

Hi nikki,

I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's recent diagnosis. The FDA does not have this medication is a pregnancy class of medications, therefore little is known because it hasn't been studied on pregnant women. Made up of acetaminophen, dichloralphenazone and isometheptene. This is a question to discuss with your doctor and/or pharmacist.

Good luck

Nancy
