Q: Any recent statistically significant on feverfew for prevention of migraines

Hi,I've read several older articles saying that feverfew is statistically significant in the prevention of migraines but nothing recently. Is there any recent research on the effectiveness of feverfew in preventing migraine?

Hi Shannon,

No, we don't have any recent information. Here's the deal with feverfew; fewer doctors are recommending it becuase they're finding that people who stop taking it have medication overuse headaches for a while. Also, please note that feverfew should not be taken by women who are or could become pregnant because it can cause miscarriage.

Hope that helps!

Nancy

I tried feverfew and butterbur and spent several thousand dollars w/ a holistic practioner, she was able to help some of my friends w/ headaches but after over 6 months it never worked for me. She was a holistic internist MD, so very qualified
