Annette,

I am really sorry to hear about the problem you are having with your Imitrex. I had the same problem when I was taking the Imitrex Nasal Spay. My Dr. told me to hold my head down longer, so that it did not drain back into my throat, and that alleviatted the problem.

Hope this helps,

Jennifer

Thank you so much for your reply, it was a scary episode. I am afraid to take the Imitrex and any other medicine now. I have been suffering with every migraine.

Annette,

This a potential side effect of Imitrex. Best to talk with your doctor before using it again. He or she will probably want to dicuss more details of this spasm, then decide if you should try a different medication.

Good luck,

Teri

Teri, have you ever taken a medicine called Midrin? A friend told me it is different than Imitrex.
