From march this year I have suffered from a regular migraine which eventually became daily and chronic. Unfortunately I get side effects from all the regular preventive agents (valproate, candersartan, propranolol, amitryptilyne and topiramate). I have not been able to work as a doctor since june and now you can imagine my desperation.  Today I found at PubMed dr Krusz summary of intravenous propofol therapy published in Headache in 2000.I cried with releif; this gives me new hope. Now my job is to convince my Norwegian collegues to give me this treatmentand I hope you can help me with refferrals. What are the long term-results of this treatment?

Yours sincerely

Dear Alexander,

I've emailed your question to Dr. Krusz and will post his answer as soon as possible. In the meantime, have you seen this article? IV Treatment of Refractory Migraines
