-:¦:-•:*'""*:•.-:¦:-•*Welcome to MyMigraineConnection!*•-:¦:-•:*'""*:•.-:¦:-
The thing we all have to remember is that Migraine is a genetic neurological disease. Whether we have hemiplegic Migraine or another form of Migraine, research is starting to show that Migraine may be a progressive diease and that having Migraine may increase our risks of other diseases and events such as stroke or heart attack.
These articles outline the various risks presented by Migraine disease:
Hemiplegic Migraines can have symptoms that other forms don't have, such as one-sided paralysis or weakness and other symptoms that can sometimes make it difficult to tell the difference between a hemiplegic Migraine and a stroke. That's why it's important to work with your doctor so that you recognize and treat your Migraines as early as possible. Your doctor will also work with you toward Migraine management to help reduce the number of Migraines you have.
Overall, the long-term risks of hemiplegic Migraine are similar to those of other forms of Migraine.
Hope this is the information you need.
Welcome again,
Teri
