Q: I have had TM for over 9 months with no releif is this normal?

My Nurologist has me on Topomax, Nortriptyline, Clonazepam, Verapamil, Tiazidine/Flexaril. I've even tried Imitrex. All of this for two months. I even tried steroids, and steroid blocker shots on both sides of my head. Nothing works. I have constant pain with a Migraine attack every 3 to 5 days. (No auras.)  Now I've noticed that not only my eyelids are swelling, but a spot on my forehead and a spot under my right eye. Is pill popping my only alternative?

I'm so sorry Donna you are going through this. I'm right behind with the same constant stink'in miserable migraines. I have tried everything there is humanly possible to take to stop the frequencies of chronic migraines. The lastest is botox injections. I've been getting these injections for about 2 years. Does it help...yes it does help my typical migraine but I believe and have been told that I have 2-3 different types of migraines going on. My latest injections were last week and now it seems that the botox is not working.

Donna,

I am sorry about your constant pain.  It is not normal, BUT you are not the only one.  There are many people willing to help you.  Try to have faith, don't give up.  Try to remember you are not the only one, and give it time.  One moment at a time.  The amount of headache research is vastly increasing.  There is something out there that WILL help you.
