Yes, Melissa, lots of us have had this issue!   I am still fighting, two years later, with my former insurer over having paid out of pocket for part of an Imitrex pack, three times when they suddenly decided the limit was four per month.   Teri Robert did something like calling insurance companies and accusing them of practicing medicine without a license or (when they say their reviewing doctors made the decision) of malpractice in prescribing for a patient they have not even seen. I am going to be researching and writing an artilce on the legality of this insurance practice, and what to do about it, shortly. For now, I'd suggest getting a doctor's letter explaining why you need the full number of meds, appealing your insurance company decision, and threatening to report them to your state insurance commissioner.
